Be honest now, have you ever contemplated escaping the mundane rat race of our society? I did, hence the reason why I now work for myself as a professional freelance writer. In truth, nearly every single adult in our country considers forgetting all about having to search the job centre online and opting to work for themselves instead.
Also, some people decide that an alternative to escaping our rat race is to up sticks and venture to an entirely different one. This would no doubt help to account for the fact that thousands of we Brits are still heading for other warmer climes.
Spain has always been at the very top of this list; but is this rather like jumping out of the frying pan and straight into the fire?
The answer to this would have to be a categorical yes in many circumstances. First and foremost, many of the countries that enjoy copious amounts of sunshine tend to be far poorer than the UK - Spain is no exception in this case. This means that if you leave a lucrative job behind in this country, you will not find a position in Iberia that pays the same.
Yes you may have the sunshine and even an easier way of life, but you are probably not going to have the same amount of disposable income to enjoy it.
It may well work out better to remain within this country but aim to start working for yourself - if your profession would allow for this. Why not start the business off on the side lines for the time being; rather than jumping head first straight into it?
